"THE FUTURE OF MANY DANCES LIES IN THE BODIES OF FEW ELDERLY PEOPLE"

The real dance culture of India is in the rural India, the folk dances. Unfortunately, there are many dances that have not more than a line written about them on the internet. In fact, some of them have only 2 to 3 trained dancers left; which means with them passing, the dance would become extinct. Such is the seriousness of the issue. The folk dance culture of India is dying.

This film is an attempt to revive the folk dance culture of India though the lens of a filmmaker and the body of a dancer. It unearths rare and dying folk dances of the the southern states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh & Orissa.

The film is a journey of a street dancer trying to get back to his roots by exploring the folk dances of India. It is shot in remote and dangerous naxalite ares of the country in an attempt to find the real dancers who need survival.

The film is shot in run and gun style to keep the real moments and stories alive.

Bharath Kishore is an independent filmmaker who has previously acted in 2 telugu films besides being a former Radio Jockey with Radio Mirchi and VJ with ZEE NETWORKS earning his artist name RVJ BHARATH. He has also been the official host for IPL (Hyderabad Franchise). He has previously directed ad films and music videos winning multiple national and international awards for his debut music video. He has also represented India as the official choreographer at DANCE WORLD CUP (2018 - Spain, 2019 - Portugal) and ALL DANCE WORLD (Orlando, USA) winning 6 medals in Street and Latin for the country.
