The Story

Swarg Se Aayo Sandes is a Hindi-Marwari short film about how grief and family expectations collide in quiet, unexpected ways. After the death of their grandmother, what should have been a simple task — choosing a photo to frame — slowly spirals into chaos.

As the clock ticks and relatives begin to arrive, the search for the “appropriate” photo unravels into an absurd family mess.

The film moves between humour and heartbreak, always staying close to the people caught in between. It explores how families respond to loss in ways that feel personal, yet are shaped by the traditions they've grown up with. Swarg Se Aayo Sandes offers a gentle and sharp look at how patriarchy shows up, even in mourning.
